Privacy Notice
This notice explains what we collect when you reach out to Tru.Ark, what we do with it, and how to ask us to remove it. We're a small studio. The "we" here is Tru.Ark — a creative and marketing studio operating out of Abuja, Nigeria, with international clients.
What we collect
When you fill out the intake form on truark.agency or otherwise contact us, we collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your business name and brief description — what you do, what you're working on
- Anything else you choose to share in the free-text fields
We do not collect:
- Payment information — handled separately via Paystack and Stripe (see their privacy notices)
- Passwords or login credentials
- Government identification numbers
- Health, biometric, or other sensitive personal data
Where it goes
Form submissions go to two places:
- Notion — our internal client relationship management system. Access is limited to the Tru.Ark core team.
- Email notification to Chi, the founder.
Submissions are not shared with third parties, sold or rented, used for advertising, or subject to automated decision-making.
How long we keep it
If you become a client, your information stays as long as you're a client and for 7 years after — for accounting and contract record purposes.
If you don't become a client, we keep your information for 12 months from your last contact with us, then delete it during our annual review. You can ask us to delete it sooner — see below.
Your rights
You can:
- Ask what we have about you — we'll send a copy
- Ask us to correct anything that's wrong
- Ask us to delete your information — we'll do it within 30 days, unless we're required to keep some records (we'll tell you which)
- Withdraw consent — stop hearing from us at any time
Where to complain
If you're a Nigerian resident and you think we've handled your data improperly, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) at ndpc.gov.ng.
If you're in the EU or UK, you have similar rights under GDPR — contact your local data protection authority.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle data, we'll update this notice and the "Last updated" date above. We'll also tell anyone who has an active retainer with us.
